Mother Loses Second Child To Murder
posted (January 7, 2013)
So far we've told you about two of Saturday's murders: one happened early in the morning, the other at night. In between, there was one more - and police believe it may be related to the Feeshia Felix killing. At around 3:00 in the afternoon, Marvin Foreman was near his home in front of a Chinese store called Bobo on Central American Boulevard when two men on bicycles rode up. They fired more than a dozen shots and hit him multiple times in the midsection. Foreman was rushed to the hospital - but died an hour later.

In an off camera interview today with 7news, his mother spoke about the pain of losing a second child to violence.

Mother of Marvin Foreman
"I was inside and I heard 4 shots first. When I heard the first shot I say that it sounded like a gunshot. My other son said that it was pop-shot and I told him no, it sounded like gunshots. I came out by the door and I peep and saw people running from that direction. I saw a young lady running from across the streets saying that it is "blinds." I told my other son to go see if it was his brother. He came back running and said "mom why, God why, this is the second brother that they want to kill" he says "mom, I don't understand what is happening out here."

"His other brother took him to the hospital and when I got to the hospital they say that they will take him in operation because his kidneys and lungs are busted up. When they took him in he ask to see his mother, so I went to him and ask him who shot him and he said that when he gets over this he will tell me. I walked with him and I ask again to tell me who shot him and he said don't worry he will tell me who shot him."

"They rush him in the theatre, I was there for 20 minutes then the 3 doctors came out and told me to sit down, while sitting down they told me that my son passed away from low blood pressure, he couldn't make it."

"They meant to kill him. It look like they were dodging him for a long time and as he went to the shop and he turn his back - why would they shoot him from the back way? That is a willful murder, you know why, because they are cowards. They are cowards because if they had come front way they couldn't mess with my son. I am not saying that my son is a fighter and a murderer but they wouldn't have killed him that easy. They chance him out of his life."

"I work so hard to take care of my children because their father died from they were young. Marvin is not a quarrelsome person and he is not a trouble maker, You could quarrel with him today and tomorrow he and you will laugh and talk. I used to tell him that he is a fool; you can't allow people to take you for a fool. They used to come and eat at his house, drink at his house, he feeds them, if they wants to sleep there he allows them to sleep there and I used to ask him why and he said; mom, you have to help people nowadays - that's why when they killed him I don't understand why they did it because he didn't have any enemy out there. He used to always tell me that he is not living for anyone else but his children because he loved his children. He worked hard for them and he tries his best. He is not in those kinds of things."

"You think you are going to get justice?"

Mother of Marvin Foreman
"I hope I get justice because I think I am due it. I didn't any for my other son."

11 months ago, Foreman was charged for possession of unlicensed ammunition. Foreman leaves behind 2 children - a five and a six year old.

Police recovered thirteen 9mm expended shells from the scene. It is of note that In 2006 Marvin Foreman's brother - Journette Usher was also murdered - he was only 19.
