Man for Attempted Murder
posted (January 8, 2013)
In other court news, 29 year-old Dorian Moody, a farmer of Biscayne village, is at prison tonight after he was taken to court for a machete hacking which took place on New Year's Day in that village.

According to police, 43 year-old Mark Davis reported that he was called out to his sister's home in the village to calm down a misunderstanding between family members.

Moody, who was one of the persons in the argument, allegedly got angry because of his intervention, and attacked him with his own machete.

Moody allegedly inflicted chop wounds to Davis on his left hand, face and his left ear which was almost severed. Other family members intervened and stopped Moody before he could do any more damage.

Police charged Moody with attempted murder, grievous harm, and use of deadly means of harm. He was arraigned today before Magistrate Cayetano, and due to the nature of the offences, he couldn't be granted bail. He was remanded to prison until March 18, 2013, his next court date.
