In January of this year, Belizean resorts dominated Trip Advisor's 2013 awards for the categories "Top 25 Small Hotels in Central America" and "Top 25 Hotels for Service in Central America." Well, once again, travel destinations in Belize are getting major love from the popular travel website.
It released its survey, and after all the results were tabulated, Belize's Ambergris Caye was named the top island choice by travelers who use the website to travel.
It's a major recognition for Belize's premier travel destination because it was elevated above more than 100 winning islands cross Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Europe, South America, South Pacific and the U.S.
Coming in second was St John, in the US Virgin Islands, and Third place went to Bora Bora, in French Polynesia in the Pacific Ocean.
