Sofia Hyde, a Belize City resident, remains out on a $500 bail tonight after she was taken to Magistrate's Court on Monday for threatening words against Linda Bailey.
But tonight, the victim of an aggravated assault says Hyde did more than insult, she threw acid in her face. The incident happened around 2am on Sunday in the vicinity of Tropicana.
The 19 year old woman, she had just left the club and was walking when a vehicle pulled up and Sofia and 3 other females exited the ride. One of the females began assaulting the young woman when Hyde allegedly doused acid on her face.
The women then left the scene. The injured woman was taken to the Queen Street police station to make a report and then rushed to the KHMH. Her injuries were classified as harm.
