Late this evening, 22 year-old Felicia Chen was taken to the Magistrate's Court for her arraignment. She was escorted by police before Magistrate Dale Cayetano, who read her 3 counts of murder. No one, including her family and the media, was allowed inside the courtroom.
Due to the nature of the offences, she couldn't be granted bail, and she was remanded into custody. Magistate Cayetano also gave an order for her mental state to be assessed to determine whether she will be remanded to prison, or to a mental health facility in the first instance.
DPP Cheryl Lynn Vidal appeared for the prosecution in the arraignment.
