Woman’s home Burned Down, After Same Fate Befell Sister
posted (May 7, 2013)
In early March we told you about the murder of 23 year old Abel Arana in Hattieville. That was followed by the torching of Tifarrah Usher's Hattieville home. Why? Because she is the sister in law of the man who is believed to have shot Arana. No one was arrested, and now another the home of another Usher sister has burned down. Just after midnight, Messelina Usher got the call that her house in Hattieville was burning. Messelina is the girlfriend of the man believed to have killed Arana. Today she told us how all this retaliation has turned her life upside down. She says she's certain they broke into her house and burned it down.

"You will see where they pulled out the horse and staple to open the door to get inside - I guess it's from inside the fire started."

Jules Vasquez
"Now you don't think that the fire started spontaneously. You believe that someone did it - that this is arson?"

Messelina Usher
"I believe this is arson and I believe it's the same person that burnt down my sister's house. I believe it's related because we've been getting threats. Last night my mom got a phone call saying that they won't finish until one of her children has died. My sister got a text all the way in Tea Kettle and they told her that she will get the same demise and that they know where she lives. My sister house that burnt down at the back also got threats that she will get the same thing. I feel really sad because I hope it doesn't get out of hand because you can replace a house but you can't replace a life. If they have a conflict with the person that got shot here that night - why not just settle it with them? Why target my family and I? Come on we are females they should settle it with the person that they think had a hand in whatever happened here Sunday night. I don't know why and I want is for them to leave my family alone. How much more do they think we can take? They burnt my sister's house down and now my house. What do they expect me to do now? I was coming back to my home but now I don't have a home to come to now because of their stupidity. I want it to to end because I want my life to get back on track. I wish this didn't happen any at all and I wish I could just open my eyes one day and say this was all a dream. Now my family is separated because my sister used to live at the back and my mother lives at the back and I live here at the front. Now all of us have to live separately."
