13 year old San Ignacio Resident Scott Thompson has been missing for the past 12 days. He is a special needs child who is kept at home – and known to hitch-hike. He's gone wandering before but never for this long and today his mother came to us saying she is beside herself with worry.

"I am Scott's mother and I live in San Ignacio and I came up here for the public to help me look for my son who has been missing since April 27th and hasn't reached home since and I have not heard about him since"

"Is this the first time he's been missing?"

"No, this is not the first time but this is the first time it has ever been so long"

"And the other times that he has disappeared, where did you find him?"
Elvira Thompson
"I found him in Belize City and the longest he ever stayed out was for four days"

"Now if anybody out there has seen him or if he is watching, what would you like to say to him?"
Elvira Thompson
"I would like to tell him to come home, that we love him and we miss him and we want him back home safe and if the public is out there to please listen to my cry and keep my son safe and take him to the nearest police station or contact me at my phone number."
