Police have charge a 19-year-old man with attempted murder, grievous harm and
use of deadly means of harm. Clifton Flores appeared in Magistrate's Court number
3 where he was read the charges. The charges are in connection with a shooting
incident which occurred on July 10th. At the time 20 year old Chris Hernandez
was riding his bicycle with a friend on the handle bar. When he reached the
corner of Rocky Road and West Canal he encountered two other men with whom he
had a misunderstanding with. That is when one of the men pulled out a handgun
and shot Hernandez to the abdomen. Police are now looking for the other young
man who will be charged along with Flores.
