posted (November 13, 2013)
4 Belizean athletes competed in the 18th Annual Central American Masters Track and Field Championships, held in Managua Nicaragua this weekend, and they brought back a respectable number of gold medals.

In the competition held from Last week Thursday to Saturday, Fredrick Evans Sr. won 3 gold medals in triple jump, shot put, and javelin, and sliver in discus. Lawrence Craig brought home Gold in Triple Jump and Silver in high jump. Daland Jones got gold in shot put and bronze in discus and javelin, and Rosinell Craig brought home 2 bronze medals in shot put and discus. That's a total of 5 gold medals, 2 silver medals, and 4 bronze.

Two Central American records were also set by the Belize delegation, and brought back a high winning percentage despite the small the smallest – by far – in the tournament in which 450 athletes competed.
