Kenyan Busted With Bogus Passport

The Immigration Department says that they busted a Kenyan National who came to Belize with a fake Namibian passport trying to get to the United States.

23 year-old Adannur Abdullah, a Kenyan Student arrived on an Avianca Flight from El Salvador. The problem is that when he checked in with Immigration, the officer noticed that his passport had suspect elements. When the officer ran a background check, it was discovered that the Namibian passport was fake. Abdullah was then charged with the offense of using a document he wasn't entitled to. He pleaded guilty today when he was arraigned before Magistrate Dale Cayetano. He admitted that he paid 2 thousand US dollars to get the fake document produced. He was sentenced to pay a fine of $1,000 forthwith, and if he defaults, he will have to spend 6 months in prison.

After Abdullah pays the fine, or serves that 6 months, he will be deported back to his come country.
