No Rest At Repass, Instead An Arrest
posted (July 7, 2014)
A funeral "repass," it's the informal ceremony that happens right after a burial ceremony - it's usually a time for quiet reflection, but for members of the Smith family today it became a time to get arrested. It happened after 17 year old Myron Smith's funeral which took place earlier today. Police got intelligence that an unlicensed firearm may be in the family house. Fearing the possibility of retaliation for the teenager's execution, police went to search the home and found a nine millimeter pistol with 13 live rounds. With that, police arrested everyone on the home, a total of about 7, including the parents and siblings of the deceased. They are in police custody at this hour and jointly face a charges for unlicensed firearm and ammunition - which trigger automatic remand - unless someone owns up to it.
