The Youth Department - which isn't known for having a big budget - handed over Video and audio equipment valued at over three thousand dollars today. It's for a youth NGO called "Go Belize" - and they will use it to showcase educational videos on sexual and reproductive health and STI and HIV prevention. We found out what's the idea behind it:..

"We realize that we need these equipment simply because reaching this population its much better to address it in a way that they are familiar with and that's why we need the equipment to assist us in getting the information out when it comes to sexual and reproductive health as well as prevention of HIV and other STDs."

"We would need this equipment for our young leaders to take on their role training young people - the youth population. Having this equipment is a big help. we could really collaborate more with other organizations doing trainings simultaneously throughout the country."
The empowerment sessions have a total target of 1200 young people between the ages of 11 to 24 annually.
Funding for the equipment was provided by Global Fund through UNDP.
