Ghost Town Boss “Roger” Caught By Cops After Alleged Shooting
posted (October 27, 2014)
It made headlines two weeks ago when the commander of the Gang Suppression Unit brought out Ghost Town boss Roger Anthony - who professed to the world that he had left the gang life behind. But tonight, Shelley Meighan, the mother of the Meighan brothers who are considered inter-gang rivals for Anthony - alleges that Roger himself shot up her house last night. She told police she saw him stand right in her yard on Banak Street wearing a warm cap, and a camouflage outfit. She says she exchanged hard words with him and he proceeded to open fire on her house. Bullets shattered the glass louver, penetrated the bedroom door and found their mark on the concrete wall in the hall. Very luckily no one was hurt. But what's even more remarkable is that police responded almost instantly and found Roger Anthony in the empty lot adjoining their home. Incredibly, police say they found him with the camouflage outfit, the warm cap and they also recovered the weapon used, a 9 millimeter pistol. We note how unusual this is because while the 37 year old Anthony has been charged for numerous offences over the years - he has never been found at a crime scene, much less with a weapon.

He was taken into custody and police recovered four expended shells from the scene. He was expected to be charged today, but Anthony is complaining fo a broken ankle and was taken to the hospital. Police say if he injured his ankle it must be when he was trying to run from them.

Anthony and the Meighan brothers have long had a reported rivalry but by territory the two are affiliates since their home on Bank Street is directly connected to Mayflower Street - which is the base of power for Anthony's Ghost Town Crips.

Late this evening, charges were prepared for the following: Kept an unlicensed firearm, unlicensed ammunition, Aggravated assault, attempted murder and damage to property. These are serious charges, and moreover, they care gun charges, so remand is automatic - meaning Anthony is going to jail until he can get Supreme Court bail - assuming he is given the opportunity to apply for that.
