American Man Commits Apparent Suicide, Police Still Not Sure
posted (December 29, 2014)
Tiny Boston village on the old Northern Highway was the scene of an apparent suicide this weekend. On Christmas night, 66 year old American retiree Timothy Patrick Mcnamara was found dead on his verandah. He had been shot in the head with his 43 year old common law wife's gun - a licensed 9mm pistol.

She is American Channon Nessi and she told police that they had been talking in the house about some money problems they were having, when he went on the verandah - and shortly after she heard a gunshot.

A post mortem has been conducted and police told us why they think it's a suicide, but why they are not ruling out foul play just yet:...

Insp. Frederick Gordon - Rural Executive Officer
"On the 25th December, we received information that a person has gotten shot in Boston Village whereby we visited the area where an American national was seen with a gunshot behind on the top of the head."

Daniel Ortiz
"Talk to us sir what police found and what your investigation so far is telling you?"

Insp. Frederick Gordon
"We visited the area where police retrieve the 9mm pistol with an expended shell which is licensed to the wife of Mr. Mcnamara and the matter is under investigation at this time."

Daniel Ortiz
"How are police treating it at this time because our understanding or at least the official report from the police press office suggests to us that Mrs. Mcnamara is reporting that the gentleman may have killed himself?"

Insp. Frederick Gordon
"Well she reported that there was an incident surrounding him, but we could not say at this time or she herself could not say at this time if the person had committed suicide or somebody had shot the person."

Daniel Ortiz
"Is there any doubt at this time or is there any reason for police to believe that the death that Mr. Mcnamara experienced was not self-inflicted?"

Insp. Frederick Gordon
"At this time the matter is under investigation. I wouldn't like to comment further because as we speak there in an investigation going on into the matter."
