Easter is the most important holiday on the Christian calendar because it celebrates the resurrection of Christ as a symbol of re-birth and hope. So this Easter the Belize City Lions Club is introducing the Easter Gift Project as part of its International Lions Services for Children Program. The Project will support the efforts of three organizations with already established feeding programs for undernourished children. Those organizations are Dara's Feeding Program, Liberty Children's Home and the YMCA. Today 7news was invited to the handing over ceremony.
Today's handing over of food items, basic necessities and construction supplies was valued at over five thousand dollars.
