"There was a 2nd incident. This one unfortunately happened on the 14th which was yesterday evening. Shortly, before 9pm we responded to the Jaguar Paw road about half mile in. we discovered the lifeless body of a male person lying on the left hand side of the road. What the investigation is showing at this time is that the deceased who was identified as Mister Marco Antonio Marquez Gutierrez was a Honduran maintenance worker and he lived at Saint Matthews Village, a nearby village where the incident occur. It appears that he was repairing his motorcycle on the side of the road. We had another motorcycle which was driven by a minor at the time and accompanied by another person who did not see this person on the roadside and hit full speed into this person which caused this unfortunate incident."

"I don't know what happened exactly. Only when I got there my husband was there.. dead. All I know is that a minor knocked him down on a motorcycle. My husband's motorcycle was left on the side - it spun and my husband stayed there...dead. The last was when he came to the house to bring license for the motorcycle and from there he never returned until they told me that he had an accident but he was already dead."

The 17 year old minor will be charged with drove motor vehicle without a valid driver's license, drove unlicensed motor vehicle, drove without third party risk insurance, manslaughter by negligence, causing death by careless conduct and driving without due care and attention. The passenger who was with the minor - 19 year old Miguel Vasquez also received minor injuries and as a result of this, more charges may be brought against the minor. Gutierrez and his family just moved to Belize from Honduras in November. Gutierrez was the father of 2 children.
