Police Confirm Body Found 10 Days Ago is Usher

2 weeks ago, we told you about the burnt body which was found on the main road heading to Scotland Half-moon Village in Belize Rural. As we reported, the family of 28 year-old Kelvin Usher, a resident of Ladyville, believed that the burnt body was his. He had gone missing 2 days before. Well, Ladyville police finally confirmed today that they are 100% sure that it is him.

Senior Superintendent Edward Broaster, the officer commanding Easter Division Rural, told the press in Ladyville today that after their investigation and the post-mortem conducted by Dr. Mario Estradabran, they are sure that the burnt victim is Usher:

"The body that was found in Bermuda Landing some weeks ago, has there been identification of that body?"

Sr. Supt. Edward Broaster, Commander, Eastern Division Rural
"Yes, it's the body of Usher I believe."

Reporter
"So that has been confimed through forensics?"

Sr. Supt. Edward Broaster
"That was confirmed by the mother and investigation on the body that was conducted by the doctor."

Reporter
"Has your investigation lead to what had Mr. Usher face that kind of death?"

Sr. Supt. Edward Broaster
"Yes, but we will not comment on the cause of death was at this time. We are still having an active investigation as it relates to that, so we will not release the findings by the doctor at this time."

Reporter
"Was he involved in any kind of illegal activities?"

Sr. Supt. Edward Broaster
"Not to our knowledge."

Hours after police found the body on July 18, one family member posted on Facebook that he was sure that the burnt body was Usher.
