And while that I the good news for those special needs persons - there is also some ugly news tonight. A disabled man is hospitalized with a fractured skull and a broken jaw. It happened two weeks ago when 30 year old Brandon Nicolas was badly beaten inside his home. He was found lying in a corner by his older sister. Nicolas is crippled in both hands and feet and is a deaf mute so he has been unable to help police in their investigation- but according to his sister, she doesn't believe the cops are doing all they can to catch the culprit. Today 7news visited the home where the merciless beatdown took place.
