US Embassy Visa Waiver
posted (October 16, 2015)
Everyone who's been to the US Embassy for a visa knows about the headache and hassle of having to go in for a visa interview. Well, if you're under 13, over 80, or just seeking a renewal, those hassling days may be behind you. The US Embassy sent out a notice today advising of an Interview Waiver Program, which has been made available to certain applicants as of October 12, 2015.

So, here's how it works. If you're renewing a visa, under the age of 13, or over the age of 80, you may be eligible to drop your documents at the U.S. Embassy and bypass the usual in-person interview with a consular officer.

For those seeking renewals, you qualify if you a renewing a tourist visa that was given for 5 years or more, that expired less than four years ago. You also have to still be in possession of your most recent visa.

Those 13 and younger who wish to qualify must have been born in Belize and have parents who have Belizean passports, and one parent or guardian who holds a valid visa and is renewing at the same time.

And for those 80 and older who are applying, they must hold a Belizean passport, never been arrested or convicted of a crime, and never been deported form the US or had any problems with US customs or immigration.

There are other requirements and you can see them at the following website:belize.usembassy.gov.
