So that was PUP in Cayo this morning, we also went to Belmopan this afternoon where we met two UDP candidates - John Saldivar for Belmopan and Ralph Huang for Cayo South. We spotted Huang on our way to Belmopan in Ontario with a pocket of his supporters. He seemed the least concerned about today saying that it's just a fun day and that he is not fazed by the crowds or the lack thereof. Then we moved on the Belmopan in the afternoon where Huang met up with Saldivar for the UDP parade. Again - very lively and vivacious crowd but not a remarkable number. Saldivar told us how grateful he is that people even came out in the downpour.
Now, there was one part supporter we could not miss - he was at the frontline in the parade with Saldivar - you guessed it right -a new member of the team - Jose Chacon . He told us how his decision to cross over can help the UDP.
And finishing up in the Cayo district - we have amateur video of the nomination day in Benque Viejo where the UDP's crowd for Cayo West and Erwin Contreras was considerably larger than the PUP's crowd for Doctora Lesbia Guerra-Cocom.
