The National High School Volleyball Tournament was held over the past weekend in Punta Gorda at the Julian Cho Technical High School in the Toledo District.
Out of the four teams in the male division, the hometown favourites Toledo Community College emerged victorious, beating Muffles in the five setter championship game.
In the female competition - the most dominant sports programme in Belize - SCA volleyball - again proved themselves and won their 16th national title. They beat Belmopan Comprehensive in the final. This is to complement the SCA programme's remarkable 21 championships in the central zone. Kevanna Sebastian from SCA and Nathaniel Castillo from TCC won the MVP awards.
