An entire Punta Gorda family is tonight hospitalized after a brutal domestic dispute. On Wednesday night around 10:20 Luis Co arrived at his home drunk. Co picked up a machete and tried to chop his wife but his 2 sons intervened and Co chopped them to various parts of their bodies. One of the sons retaliated and picked up another machete and went after his father. All 3 men were taken to the Punta Gorda Hospital. One of the sons Ormando, got chop wounds to his head, right hand, knee and back. He had to be transferred to KHMH and is in a critical condition. When we spoke to police today they told us that this family has been having domestic issues since 2011 but the sons always refused to press charges. In this case though, they have indicated they will press charges.
