Three years ago, there were little more than a thousand police officers - and tonight the news is that with the passing out of intake number 92, there are now over two thousand. The 167 new recruits officially joined the ranks of the Police Department today, bringing the total number of on duty police officers to some 2,067. The ceremony was held in Belmopan at the Police Training Academy this morning and Emanuel Pech reports:
172 recruits reports for training and 167 passed out today. Out of the 167 49 are female.
