On Friday night, Kamisha Roches and her common law husband Mariano Castillo were hanging out at her father's house on Police Street. Roches got off work late that night and just wanted to de-stress after a hard week. But instead of relaxing and spending time with family, an unwelcomed guest kept lurking around her father's house. It was Roches' ex- boyfriend John Grinage.

"He came and up and down showing his finger, making lots of signs with his hands. But we weren't paying him any mind. Because I already saw him with his girlfriend. He was with her in the night."

"This is your ex-boyfriend?"

"My ex-boyfriend, he was with his girl. Because his girl lives right at the back. But I didn't bring it nor take it, because I am with my boyfriend and he (John) was with his girl. But he still continued up and down and he went by the verandah and he asked my boyfriend if he is straight and my boyfriend said yes and he asked two more times and so my boyfriend said I already told you I am straight and so he walk off and pick up his bike and he said I hope you all are straight because I am going to kill you all."

That threat shook Roches and Castillo and they decided to head home around midnight. But Grinage, his brother and 1 other male followed and stopped them here. Roches soon realized that the threat was more than just idle talk.

"John came off his bike and went after him (Mariano Castillo) across the street and start to swing the knife at him. Then his (John) brother went across there with their friend. They hold him and that's when he got stabbed."

According to Roches, Castillo was stabbed once in his stomach. After he was struck, he ran along Mahogany Street - bleeding out on the sidewalk. But after all his effort to survive, he collapsed right here. Roches says Castillo's murder was a senseless tragedy - all as a result of a jealous ex- flame.

"Why it so shocking to me was because he (John) has his girlfriend and he was with her at the moment and I believe that he had already moved on and she knew what he (John) was doing. He was jealous of me and Castillo. So that means he doesn't love the girl that he have. He doesn't want her."

Now Roches says she is concerned for her safety because Grinage also threatened to kill her after he stabbed Castillo.

"He was walking up to me with the knife and was asking me what was going on with me? He says that he would just kill me too. That is what he told me. As I close my eyes, I see that. I don't feel safe. I just walk with faith. Whether they let him go or not, I am ready for whatever. What will happen will happen."

3 men have already been charged with Castillo's murder, they are John Grinage, Sheldon Grinage and Brandon Baptist.

Just to add, all 3 men were recently charged in connection with the brutal home invasion at Sarkis Ahbou-Nahra's mansion in Burrell Boom.

In terms of the incident, Roches had been in a relationship with Grinage for 7 years and was with Castillo for 3 years.
