"I want to dispel something right here, right now, and I want to categorically state that for some reason some people think that the shooting death of Gerald Tillet had to do with Southside. I want to say clearly that from what we have been made to understand, Southside particularly the Wallace brothers and the Underwood brothers have absolutely nothing to do with Gerald Tillet's death. From what we have been made to understand, there is no connection between Gerald Tillet's murder and those individuals. I believe that the police have the person who is responsible for that murder at prison. I would want those person who are trying to be out there to avenge Gerald Tillet's death, to understand that the wheels of justice has begun, allow it to take its course better than to be out there lurking after people and trying to kill people innocently for what they did not do."

"Mr. Broaster is not wrong to say that, if you listened to what I said, I am saying that there is no connection between Gerald Tillet's murder, the Wallace brothers, and the Underwood brothers. For some reason or the other, elements from George Street may think that there is some connection, and that could be the reason why they went and ambushed the Wallace brothers. That's why I'm saying here now that there is no nexus between them, but what Broaster is saying is not wrong. That could be the reason why they went after them because they believe that the Wallace Brothers and the Underwood Brothers may have something to do with Gerald Tillet's death.
