City Mayor Swoops In To Hire Who “Bev” Fired
posted (June 3, 2016)
Ingrid Hernandez and Elena Kerr - in one week they've gone from UDP stalwarts known mostly in Belize Rural Central to national names - symbols of how ugly the war inside the UDP is in the aftermath of last Sunday's convention.

Both ladies were fired by UDP Belize Rural Central Representative Beverly Castillo after the convention. Since then, Ingrid Hernandez has been hired by UDP First Deputy, Patrick Faber, and today Belize City Mayor Darrell Bradley told us that he has hired Elena Kerr. He said he spoke to her, she sent in an application, she did an interview and was found to be satisfactory, and so she ahs been hired. The mayor says, quote, "I did it because we do not support any for of victimization."

Speaking with Beverly Castillo today she told us that the Mayor would do well to look after his Belize City supporters, and added that she did not fire Ingrid Hernandez because she supports Patrick Faber. She says she fired her because she was leaking information out of the constituency office - which Hernandez admitted to in a Facebook post.
