Flowers Rejects Sex Abuse Allegation
posted (July 26, 2016)
And so Flowers is on remand tonight - but he says he is falsely accused. The incident is alleged to have happened near his farm in Blackman Eddy where the child alleges that Flowers twice had sex with her against her will. It's a very disturbing allegation and today in a sitdown interview with us, Flowers told us it is completely false:..

Daniel Ortiz
"I have to be frank and ask you straight up, did you have any sexual relations with this young lady?"

Mark Flowers, former GSU Commander
"Absolutely and unequivocally under any circumstances it's a no! It's a no!"

Daniel Ortiz
"Sir, but it's very hard to process why somebody would want to malign your reputation. They must know that this was going to hurt you - this allegation, when you've according to you, been so kind to them to invite them into your home."

Mark Flowers, former GSU Commander
"Well not into my home, into my farm. I am still at a loss of money to be so important. It is my understanding that they were paid $8,000. $8,000 is quite a substantial sum for these people. But for one man, I don't blame in as much as I am hating what is happening, I don't have the children so much like I hate the person who is putting them up to it. It is disgraceful. I am willing to go through whatever hardship I have to go through right now, but I'll be out. I will be out."

"But I have also made an offer to have a DNA, a scientific done which I understand was agreed upon in the first instance accepted and then later there was ministerial involvement and dictates to forego that aspect and to go proceed straight to charging me. It just proves and it shows that there is something sinister. I am asking, requesting and challenging them to do the test. It is just I am so confident that I would like to have the test done and for the results to be immediately sent to the press instead to me. I am so confident that there will come exoneration that I have no fear about that or I could go to prison from now until the results are back. I am prepared mentally, emotionally, physically, conditionally to go there. I have nothing to fear. If I had any - the inkling of a possibility that I could have had sex with that little girl, I would have been reserved and kept back. It is frightened, it is hurtful, it is damaging, but it cannot dissuade me and it cannot change me, because I did not do anything."

Flowers adds that he is being framed by the family of the 14 year old. He says he invited the family unto his farm, as a good gesture, and out of kindness - and this charge is what he says resulted from it:

Daniel Ortiz
"How do you know her?"

Mark Flowers, former GSU Commander
"Alright, last year in July, I purchase a farm out in Blackman Eddy. I had like maybe 8 people working out there including these children. They were not working for me, they were there because the people who were doing chopping - there were 4 guys. They use to go on the area with the guys. We made barbeque and everybody ate and they ate, so they started to rake. We were giving them food. Then my cousin, because my cousin and I does our business, she decided let's give them $15 and then she gave them $25 and they continue to rake. But it came a point when I decided that bulldozing was easier and it was a faster method, it was even cheaper and we got the bulldozer and thus we didn't need the people chopping. We still use to have family functions to which all my family members attended - they were always there. Until in October I think it was the last time that they were there. In December we had a family party, but I insisted that I did not want the children to be around, because it was family and people coming from the States and all of us coming together and then my friends. Furthermore one of the guys who was chopping for me had gone and smoke Marijuana on my verandah and I went to him and in no easy way I told him how I felt and that he was not ever to come back to my place, not even if he was dying."

"We fast forward from then. March this year I hired her stepfather as my farm hand, but I came to my farm sometimes to pay him, he is not there. Sometimes I checked on him, he is not there. Sometimes on my way to work he is not there. I have to go looking for him to pay him. So on 1st July this year, that was what I think caused me to get rid of him. I told him that I didn't want him anymore. That was the 1st of July. I went to the States on the 2nd and I came back on the 18th to this, straight into this."
