30 year old Tyrone Davis would normally hang out at this Sand Hill home near mile 20. It was a popular spot and he and his friends would sometimes spend all day there.

But on Saturday afternoon Davis was shot and killed right in front of his favourite spot.

"Rural Eastern Division received reports of a death in the San Hill area where police visited Mile 20 and found the lifeless body of one Tyrone Davis 30 years of the said village suffering from gunshot wounds to the throat and arm."

Some of the residents say that the gunman came out from these bushes and shot Davis. Reports are that another man was with Davis but he ran off as he saw the gunman. Now who would want Davis dead? Did his past deeds come back to haunt him? The police can't confirm a motive at this time but Davis has had a couple run-ins with the law.

Davis was charged for a 2014 Crooked Tree home invasion where a 51 year old woman had to fight him off to protect her 82 year old mother and 14 year old son. He was also caught with an unlicensed shot gun in 2015. But when we spoke to Davis' cousin today, she told us she does not know that side of Davis' life. She only remembers the good times she and her family had with him.

"From what I know, I know him as someone as a friendly person, a very outgoing person and he and my daughter are always laughing and joking around because sometime she would come back to me what Tyrone said. But apart from that I know him as a very nice person; I'm very sorry to hear what happened but we have leave justice in god's hands."

One person is detained. And before we continue tonight we can confirm that a murder happened 45 minutes ago on Complex Street in the Lake Independence area of Belize City.
