PUP Cites Vega Misfeasance
posted (October 14, 2016)

And the Deputy Leader of the PUP agrees that government money should not have been used to pay for that kind of compensation.  But today, Kareem Musa took it a step further; he said former lands minister Gaspar Vega must also be investigated for misfeasance.

Hon. Kareem Musa - Caribbean Shores Representative
"Then minister of lands Gappy Vega knowingly issued a second title over a land that he knew was private that ultimately led to his son benefiting 385,000 dollars from the tax payers; let's not get confused not government, tax payers will now pay 385,000 dollars in profit when the minister or lands knowingly because the public officers, the professionals, the technicians on the ground told him Mr. Vega this is private land you cannot issue a second title over this. And if you knowingly issue a second title when that is private land to me that is again misfeasance in public office."
