Family Loses Everything On Raccoon Ext.
posted (October 18, 2016)
A Raccoon street family lost everything in a late night blaze. Shantia Gill and her kids were out at the time of the fire but only returned to find the charred frame of their house. Today we spoke to a neighbor who was awakened by the flames.

George Willoughby, Neighbor
"About a couple minutes to 12:00, I was asleep and the flame woke me up and the heat woke me up and when I came out I saw the house on fire. When the fire truck came and they took long to out the fire and it kept on burning while they took out the fire. I was afraid, when I got up, I was afraid, I didn't know what to do, I ran out of my house, the flames almost spread to my house because of the big blaze."

"But your house wasn't damaged at all?"

George Willoughby, Neighbor
No my house wasn't damaged. It can't be any electrical problem because no one was home. I am so sorry for them, look how their house burnt, I don't know what they will do."

Gill and her family were not around when we went to the house. Her friends told us they were staying at a relative's home. The fire department told us that they are still trying to confirm if it was arson or not. At this point it is leading more to arson because a family friend told us that someone shot at their house last week and was out to get them and they moved about a week ago.
