Today, students from all over the country gathered in Belize City for World GIS Day. GIS, or Geographic Information Systems, is a way to record, interpret and analyze data using satellite imagery. GIS uses maps to present information and show patterns in a way that text cannot. In order to introduce students to this technology, Total Business Solutions Ltd. along with several members of the business and technology sectors held its annual expo to showcase the ways GIS can be used to enhance their education and how they can turn it into a career.
