When you hear the name "CABEI", it may not have a familiar ring, but the Central American Bank For Economic Integration has funded the paving of portions of the Southern Highway, upgrading the Santa Elena border and right now has loaned Belize 30 million dollars for upgrading security infrastructure. And that's why it is worth mentioning that - ten years after joining CABEI - Belize has now been incorporated as a full member of the Bank as a Non-Founding Regional country. This new status will allow Belize to expand its financing for new loan approvals. Belize joins Panama and the Dominican Republic as the three newest full members of the bank.
