The Belize City Council has been paving roads for years. One of those roads, Southern Foreshore in Belize City, was fully cemented and equipped with a drainage system about two years ago. The street's drains were covered with metal grills that have been proven as sub standard. While the grills worked for a while, they have recently come undone, and are more of a traffic hazard than anything else right now.
