The Social Security Board has a new CEO - and he is a scientist. Dr. Colin Young - who is currently the CEO in the Ministry of Fisheries, Forestry, the Environment and Sustainable Development will formally take up the office on the first working day of the new year, which is January third, 2017.
Young, who holds a Ph.D. in ecology takes over Social Security - after it has been without a CEO for the past three months after Richard Flowers demitted office without a successor in place.
Young, who is a well-connected UDP is expected to connect more effectively with staff and senior management. A press release says that he has, quote "executive leadership experience in complex negotiations, diplomacy and management."
