There's a news item emerging from Belize Breaking News this evening which says that the Government of Guatemala is in the process of officially including the Sarstoon area on its official map.
The article quotes a document from Guatemala's Foreign Affairs Ministry. We have seen such a Spanish language document dated January 17, 2017. It says that the Guatemalan Government is working on a proposal that will include parts of Belize on the official map of Guatemala. While we are working on the translation, the document discusses on exploration of oil in the subsoil of Belize.
