Today, 29 year-old Brian Armstrong appeared in the Magistrate's Court, and was charged with a single count of robbery. The incident occurred on Tuesday when, according to police, Armstrong and an accomplice entered a bus parked on Magazine Road armed with a firearm. They robbed the bus driver, Ernesto Escobar of a school bag which contained various personal items and the keys to the bus.
In court today, Armstrong pled not guilty to the charges, but because the alleged robbery was committed with a firearm, the Magistrate could not offer him bail. Armstrong was remanded to prison until the end of April. The second culprit is still at large.
