Yellowman Apologises To Speaker, Will Go Before Staff Committee
posted (May 31, 2017)

And, no, Mase-bearer Brian Yellowman Audinett was not at today’s hearings.  We understand that he's written a letter of apology to the Speaker, and will appear before the House Staff Committee next week.

Today the Deputy Prime Minister said his menacing behaviour toward the media is not to be countenanced:…

Hon. Patrick Faber- Deputy Prime Minister
"Indeed, the actions of the mase bearer was unfortunate, I think those actions we could have down without. I think the quarrel with the media is never a good thing. The matter as far as I understand it, because the mase bearer is a part of the staff of the National Assembly he will be sent to the national assembly staff committee. I believe we have a meeting of that staff committee scheduled for next week at some point. I am a member of that committee and I look forward to listen to all the facts and then jointly will all the members of that committee, which includes the speaker and the president of the senate, opposition members, government side members, then be able to decide on whether or not those actions weren't well. I can say for me it's not warranted. But what is the government and the National Assembly prepared to do is what they will determine."

We’ll report on that meeting when it happens.
