Man Arrested For Stealing Hilux From His Employer
posted (June 1, 2017)
He was accused of stealing a HILUX from his own employer, and now Kareem Harvey has been charged with Aggravated Burglary.

Police caught the 23 year old resident of Poison Wood Street in Belmopan in the vehicle on Saturday after his boss, the female Manager of the Pesticide Control Board in Central Farm reported to police that he held her up at gunpoint and put a plastic bag over her face. He snatched her purse with 4000 Euros and sped off in the Hilux and sped off with his loot. Harvey had been working with the Ministry of Agriculture for a year.

Today, Belmopan police honored the five officers who made the arrest and treated them to lunch. A statement from the officer commanding says, quote, "It is as a direct result of bravery and commitment... that cause this to happen. When officers do wrong we are quick to punish them, likewise when they do well we must celebrate them." End quote.

CEO in the Ministry of Agriculture Jose Alpuche and Commissioner of Police Allen Whylie joined them.
