The rainy season should be here already and, while we wait for it, the dry earth is burning all over Belize. Bush fires have become a regular sighting, and today there was a huge one in the Ladyville area. So huge that it could be seen for mile, and the thick, billowing smoke forced police to divert traffic between the BDF cutoff and Marage Road - unto Perez Road. The fire was controlled without damaging any property.
