Rowan Garel did it! The 19 year old blind adventurer is the Caribbean's Adventure Ambassador. Voting finished on Saturday, and we are told Rowan bested the four other competitors with the most votes. He now becomes the Caribbean Tourism Organization's Ambassador of the Year.
Rowan is presently studying at Drew University in New Jersey. He comes home for the holidays this Friday and, reports are that he will be welcomed with a motorcade. As a boy, Rowan climbed Victoria Peak, dived the Blue Hole and walked from Cayo to Belize City in 5 days - all as fundraising for BCVI.
