Your academic career at the University of Belize doesn't have to end with a Bachelor's degree. That is because UB has launched its first ever Masters of Business Administration program. It was launched today at the Biltmore hotel and the Chair of the Faculty of Management told us how significant this is for the University and for Belize.

"This is the first Masters level program that the University will be delivering and providing to the country. The focus will be Business Administration. So for the program we are looking young people, old people - it's for everyone. You coming in from your insurance background, you coming in from your English teacher background. So an MBA you simple need a bachelor's degree and 3 years working experience. So we will have a wide range of individuals and it's in that in-class session which is our niche as opposed to the fully online courses. We will be filling a gap in terms of the theory and applications. In terms of building up the managerial aspect of the country."
The 1 year and a half Master's program starts in January. The classes will be held on Friday evenings and all day Saturday. 25 applicants have already enrolled in the program. The cost is $24,000 dollars Belize.
