Gang Boss Roger Anthony Takes The Rap For Cowo
posted (December 12, 2017)
Since the police department resumed granting bi-weekly interviews, you've been seeing a lot of Assistant Superintendent Alejandro Cowo. But in the background, he and another officer had been pressing assault charges against the notorious Roger Anthony for almost 2 years now. Well today, that case came to a close when Anthony pleaded guilty in the Magistrate's Court.

The incident reportedly happened on January 18, 2016 at the Queen Street Police Station. Cowo reported that he heard a noise outside of the main office, and when he went to check on it, he saw Anthony shouting and using obscene language. He said that he tried to calm Anthony down, and that escalated into a pushing match between both men. Corporal Myvette came to Cowo's aid, and that's when Anthony reportedly threatened that he will kill the officer.

That commotion ended when police charged Anthony with 2 counts of assaulting a police officer, 2 counts of using indecent words, 1 count of using threatening words, and 1 count of boisterous behavior.

After months of back and forth to court, the cops withdrew the boisterous behavior charge today in front of Senior Magistrate Aretha Ford.

Before the trial could start today, Anthony pleaded guilty to the other 5 charges, and he was sentenced to pay a fines to a total of $900.

He has up until February 28 of next year to pay.
