posted (December 14, 2017)
Police are looking for the Lincoln Navigator driver who crashed into a gate at the Belize customs area yesterday afternoon. As we told you, the driver sped out of the Mexican customs area because the x-ray showed something unusual in the cab of the vehicle. As soon as the Mexicans told the driver that his vehicle was selected for a secondary search, he raced over to the Belize side. The driver bolted into the nearby bushes after he crashed into the gate. Now, the something 'unusual' in the vehicle was cocaine - 13 pounds of it. Today police didn't have much details relating to this case but they told us they are searching for the runaway driver.

ACP Joseph Myvette, NCIB

Reporter

ACP Joseph Myvette, NCIB
"Yes we are in the process of doing that."

Reporter
"The drugs were hidden in a conceal compartment. Do you guys have any information in terms of what this says about the operation is it was a sophisticated operation of this individual?"

ACP Joseph Myvette, NCIB
