Every year around this time, we usually stop by to join in the celebration of the birthday of the Belize City resident, Leonora Patnett. And yesterday, she turned 104.
Now, from our perspective, as she celebrates these new milestones, she somehow manages to maintain the same vitality she's had, as though the passage of time has very little effect on her.
This evening, just before her birthday party, she spoke with us about what she considers her blessing to still be around to watch her great grand children grow up. Here's our conversation with this remarkable woman:
Patnett lives at her Wagner's Lane home, and she says that her grandkids visit her regularly.
