The weekend's third murder happened in Independence Village on Saturday night. The victim is 21 year old Victor Pou - who, was killed - apparently a group of men tried to rob him. It was a vicious end, as the young man was stabbed and chopped to death, robbed and then left for dead. Police were not alerted to the Boyd until six the following morning:

"On Sunday 17th December, sometime around 6am, police were called to an area in Independence Village in the area of the BTL tower where they observed the lifeless body of Victor Pou with multiple stab wounds. Initial investigation revealed that sometime around 10pm Pou was on his way to work when it is alleged that he was attacked by several persons."
"Police have since detained 3 persons pending this investigation."

"Well at the time he left home he had several possessions which were not found when his body was found yesterday morning around 6."
A number of men from the area remain detained. Residents tell us that attacks happen often in that area because of poor lighting and low police presence.
