Cop Critical After Being Knocked Off Bike

A police officer is in a critical condition after he was knocked off his patrol bike on Saturday night.

It happened at around 10:15 on the Belize /Corozal Road. 24 year old Jesus Enrique Muñoz, was driving a Ford Escape which hit the motorbike driven by PC #1958, 27 year old Enid Tillett, attached to the Guinea Grass Village Police Substation.

PC Tillett received head and body injuries and was rushed in an unconscious state to the Northern Regional Hospital and later transported to the KHMH where his condition is listed as serious.

Today police formally arrested and charged Muñoz for: Drove motor vehicle without due care and attention, Failed to give way when changing direction, Negligent Grievous Harm and Used Motor Vehicle without third party risk insurance.
