The Belizean flag has reached the highest point on the African continent! We've learned that CNN's Evan Andres Perez reached the Uhuru Peak of Kilimanjaro sometime yesterday. The peak is the tallest in Africa, about twenty thousand feet above sea level. It's the first time we've seen the Belizean flag making an appearance there.
Perez is CNN's Senior Justice Department Correspondent and proudly hails from Corozal, Belize. He was educated in Belize and went on to study in the US, which took him to the Wall Street Journal and then to CNN where he is regularly featured.
