And while that family gets to start a new chapter, so does a family who recently lost their home to a fire. Last month we told you that only the matriarch of the family, along with her 6-month-old granddaughter, were at home at the time when their house went up in smoke.
Now, three weeks later, and the family has been gifted with a new house, courtesy BWS. One of the residents, Julio Burgos, has been an employee of the company for years and they decided to reach out and assist him.
For now, there are no fixtures or walls inside the house, but Burgos told us today that he is grateful for the help, especially since he recalled the day when he learnt he had lost everything.
BWS will continue to assist the family with fundraisers and donations to help refurnish their new home. Burgos will be living there along with his parents, his girlfriend, and their baby.
