Back in 2025, the Hattieville community was shocked to hear of the double murder of twin siblings 57 year old Paula Belisle and her brother Paul Esquillano. Later, another shock came when they police charged Belisle's former son-in-law with murder.
And today, 26 year old Orvin Williams was committed to stand trial in January 2027. The police prosecutor submitted 16 statements and documentary exhibits that they intend to use to prove their case against Williams.
The incident occurred on September 15, 2025 around 2:00 in the afternoon when shots were heard. Police found Belisle alive however she succumbed on the way to the hospital. Esquiliano was killed on the spot. Police's investigation revealed that someone arrived at the house in a vehicle, went inside, fired multiple shots, and then fled the scene in the same vehicle. Williams was detained 2 weeks later.
