5 Guns Stolen, 4 Recovered
Mon, December 29, 2008

Is the glass half full or half empty? That’s what we asked after seeing the Christmas holiday’s gun statistics. Police recovered four guns from the streets of Belize City, but five guns were reported stolen countrywide. The guns gathered in the city are a 9 milimeter pistol on Sarstoon Street, another on Queen Charlotte Street, a .380 pistol on Mex Avenue and a nine milimeter on Kut Avenue. All those gun discoveries were made by police patrols on the 26th and 27th of September. Four persons were charged.

On the other hand, two guns were reported stolen in Orange Walk, two in Punta Gorda, and one in Belmopan.
